This page details the shipping of the characters Taichi Yagami and Sora Takenouchi. Taichi Yagami is known as Tai Kamiya in the dub. This shipping is known as Taiora in the fandom.

Taichi and Sora have known each-other since kindergarten.
They played on the same mixed gender soccer team for some time as kids. When talking about this subject with the other Digidestined, Sora discusses his strength of character and her trust in him. We see a difference between the ways in which Taichi, her female soccer team, and Sora's mom treat her, with young Taichi seemingly accepting her for who she is inside.
This could be seen as the reason why Sora is one of the first children to put her trust in Taichi's leadership and decisions, though she is never afraid to give him a gentle nudge when she thinks he is wrong.
Taichi is very concerned for Sora when she is abducted by Nanomon (Datamon) in Adventure episode 19. Also Sora calls for Taichi when she was abducted. (original only)
Taichi encourages Sora to confess her love for Yamato, despite his own implied feelings for her.
Taichi and Sora very frequently confide in one another, especially throughout Digimon Adventure 01. They can be observed talking to each other, even when the rest of the team is present. This displays a very close friendship between the two. While it is never verbally stated, many fans believe the two to consider one another their best friend. This is due to their relationship, which is shown to be different from the rest of the children. They are the only non-siblings who knew each other before camp.
In Digimon Adventure for PSP the game opens with Sora waking Taichi from a nap, requesting his help with a task.
Sora feels safe with Taichi.
Throughout Adventure 1999, 02, and Digimon Tri, Sora is often shown to be concerned over Taichi's well being and feelings. Sora has cried out Taichi's name at least once in every series and film, including last Evolution 2020.

When Tai is introducing the characters he introduced Sora as "pretty cool, for a girl" implying a crush. (Dub only)
Sora is very glad to see Taichi returning when he returned during the fight with Tyranomon in Adventure episode 18. When Taichi first reappears only Sora immediately notices, she says his name with emotion in her voice, and they smile broadly at one another.
No two Digidestined (non-siblings) are shown to be as physical with each other as often as Taichi and Sora. Sora and Taichi hold on to each other for safety/protection on various occasions including episodes: 5, 14, 16, 17, 20, 26, and 29. Sora can also be seen standing right besides or behind Taichi throughout the majority of their adventure.
In episode 19 Taichi and Sora talk alone by the campfire. Taichi reassures her that he is willing to put himself in danger to get her crest for her, and that he knows she would do the same for him. She agrees smiling at him from across the fire-pit. She seems to feel better about the situation as he goes off to bed.
Taichi breaks down in tears after being unable to rescue Sora in Adventure episode 19. One of only two times we see Taichi fully break down. The other instance relates to Hikari getting sick.
In episode 20 while rescuing Sora, Taichi refers to Sora as being "very precious" to him, proclaiming that he "came to save Sora", and Sora calls out Taichi's name right before Pyomon evolves into Birdramon. Given that Sora's crest is love, this seems to indicate feelings for Taichi. The episodes ends when Taichi and Agumon are sucked into the portal, the last thing we hear is Sora screaming his name. (Japanese version only).
In episode 26 "Sora's Crest of Love" after Garudamon temporarily defeats of Myotismon, Taichi seems to be filled with joy that Sora is feeling better about herself and crest. He exclaims "I want Sora's love too" after the battle. (Japanese version only).
Additionally in episode 26, it is revealed to us that Sora ran away from the group specifically because the others had given up hope on finding Taichi after searching for a month. Sora becomes visibly upset at this fact, but she seems to be outvoted by the group. She sneaks off at night with the intention of finding Taichi on her own. Had it not been for DemiDevimon's trickery it is likely that Sora would have revealed herself to Taichi sooner. It is very clear that Sora cares about Taichi a lot, and was worried about what happened to him.
In episode 32 "Tokyo Tower is Hot! DeathMeramon", Sora calls Taichi hoping for him to go with him to the Tokyo Tower, however Taichi is napping when she calls. He is later informed of this by his mother and goes to the Tower to help her battle DeathMeramon. Taichi seems to be the only male Digidestined Sora attempts to contact.
The largest evidence comes from the movie "Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!" (made into the second part of "Digimon The Movie 2000" for the dub). Taichi is writing an apology letter to Sora. Hikari playfully adds a heart to the end of it and sends it. When Sora receives it she is happy to see the heart. So happy in fact, that she does not notice the deactivated nuke fall into the bay by her house, her eyes remained glued to the email.
In episode A very Digi-Christmas, in Digimon Adventure 02, Taichi was about to confess his feelings for Sora and ask her out after the concert, without know that she baked some biscuits for Yamato (English dub only).
In the movie Diaboromon Strikes back, a wind gust blowed in Taichi, Sora and Yamato's direction. Sora protected herself behind Taichi, even if Yamato, supposed to be her boyfriend, was right next to her. Earlier in the same film Yamato is extremely awkward/distant when Koushiro asks him about Sora's whereabouts, this has led some fan to believe they had broken up by this point. This is perhaps backed up by the fact that Sora and Yamato are not shown to be dating by the time of Digimon Tri. The credits of the film then show Taichi and Sora hanging out very close to each other on top of an old bus.
At the end of Digimon Adventure for PSP, a secret cut scene between Taichi and Sora, shows that Sora is very upset that her mother wants her to stop playing soccer with Taichi. Taichi is hurt but tries to be supportive, this makes Sora upset. She seemingly hoped that he would argue her decision to switch to tennis. Taichi is confused by her reaction, internally admitting that he would miss her greatly on the field. Sora leaves saying she wants to hang out with him again soon, he agrees but is left wondering what he said that made her upset.
